A Thermal Image of Myself?

I really want to take care of myself. But I feel as if I was absent when “they” taught Emotional Hygiene. Sigh, does anyone teach that? You say it is mentioned in the Bible — You call it speaking the Truth in Love. Hm. I just never thought about speaking the truth in love to myself! That sounds so obvious.

Create in me a Clean Heart

DANG! I guess, God, YOU have brought me back to Personal Responsibility. It is so HARD to bless folks who seem bent on destroying. How much easier to judge and hate. But what a quickly Descending helix that begets.

Walking through Munich

Well, yes, God, I confess I do not always LIVE in the power of this HOPE. I drift away from the Connection You Extend to us. Please help me — and all the People of this Planet — to turn to YOU!

Beauty, Awe and Self Care

Somehow, God, all these years I equated Self Care with Selfishness. But, it belongs under Personal Responsibility! The Bible clearly tells us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. But, we tend to focus on OTHERS FIRST — and often ONLY — not realizing that order doesn’t work long-term.

Bed-Making 2.0: Putting Things Away

The point of bed-making is that we willingly do what we know will be undone. We put things away that we know we will get out again tomorrow — or maybe even this afternoon.

Light Shining On . . . and Light Shining Through

Good Day, God! There is nothing like a week of storms — rain, lightening, thunder and grey skies — to make me appreciate the beauty of Light. I especially like light shining through plants. I was totally surprised this morning

A Love Gift to Kit — and Me Too!

Good Morning, God! Here we are, God, after running 3.1 miles. Kit, of course is fresh. I could hardly speak after a fast finish. Connie Comiso, the race organizer was standing 20 yards from the finish yelling at me, ‘You

Sitting by Still Waters

Good Morning, God! I wish I could get Kit to go with me and have breakfast on the Marina. It’s only $2.99 so perhaps I could entice him. (Kit is very generous, God, but he is a practical Scot, so
