Victoria Falls and Me

A misty view of a waterfall with the sun setting in the background, casting an orange glow.

Good Morning God,

This photo was taken by my grandson, Ian. He and his dad, David, are on an African Safari. Created so Ian could see ELEPHANTS in their homes . . . so to speak. And for both of them to enjoy photographing marvelous creatures and beauty in all it’s many manifestations.

And Waterfalls reminds me of a major adjustment I made a few decades ago. I transformed — almost instantly — when I changed my image of being ON TIME from that of a Dart Board to Niagara Falls. In my dart board image — being late was missing the center but being in a concentric ring — say a Five Minute Ring. That ring encapsulated the Center and it didn’t care if you were five minutes early or five minutes late — same ring. And invariably I was on the far side of the Center — not the early side.

Then I switched to a new image of LATE. It wasn’t a Dart Board — it was Niagara Falls — LATE was 000PS... going OVER THE FALLS. That new image was powerful. I did NOT want to go over the Falls! It was a surprisingly effective shift! And it meant that I greatly reduced that aggravation I caused my wonderful husband by being habitually late. Not REAL late. Just five minutes late.

Ever since that positive change I have had a sentimental spot in my heart for waterfalls. Now as I continue on in my ninth* decade
I grown in my appreciation for them. There is so much ENERGY in them. Created by them! Their hydroelectric power can lights whole cities. And it isn’t just an intellectual or esthetic appreciation. Falling water releases Negative Ions that are beneficial to our body and our hearts.

Such spectacular drama and beauty! I can hardly wait to view Ian’s videos with him! I can share in his memories. And maybe tell him a bit about the marvelous memories I have of Kit and my visit to Niagara Falls! Sharing is surely one of my favorite things!

I am blessed with so much . . . THANK YOU!!!
