Good Morning, God!
I do love seeing familiar things from new perspectives. Amazingly, I was at 24 Hour Fitness the other day — yes, exercising — when I looked out the window and saw Our Valley.
The angles were such that I got lots of reflections and just half the valley. But, no matter, I think it looks “arty.” I’ve been into Art recently, God. Enjoying the simple creativity of design. I’ve done four “displays” in the last few weeks. Hmmm. It isn’t really that simple as Too Many Words get in the way of the message. The images should speak — with words as supporting pontoons.
What is it that Jesus said? “Do not babble on like the pagans who think they will be heard by their many words.” Well, it isn’t just “pagans” who go on for too long. I remember getting a three page letter from the President of a major university. I was astounded that no one had explained to him that One Page is the limit.
And speaking of communication, God, years ago I realized that People “HEAR” what we THINK. That may not be strictly true — but it is true enough. I think our unconscious does it by taking in micro-fast facial expressions, body language and tone of voice. Anyway, realizing that people “know” what I am thinking is a major motivator in cleaning up my thoughts.
We don’t need a lot of words. And You don’t need a lot of words, God. I was going to say that our words to You should be truthful (about ourselves) and trusting concerning Your Nature. But then, You look into our Hearts, and You don’t need any words at all.
