Hmm. You have told us in many ways and at many times what we can do . . . and You have told us what NOT to do. Please help us remember and follow.
Then, this afternoon I was reading an article in Discover Magazine and learned our brain has 85 billion neural cells, 150 trillion synapses and an almost infinite number of ways of combining synapses. As the article said, “Possibilities are always wildly, insanely greater than the number of things around us.”
Actually, just speaking words out loud is powerful. The spoken word HAS power! Even little muttered phrases have power. Negative thoughts are harmful. Negative words are worse. How much better it is to speak forth Your Hope and Promises, God!
Two of my friends laughed at that and said hungry people want food! And of course, they do. Still, each one of us also hungers to know that we matter. That we matter not just to You, God, but to one of two fellow human beings.
It seems that Play, like Sleep, has positive functions that the Work Obsessed Mind cannot see.
Society could do with a lot more female outrage, God.
Sigh. Taking on Coca-Cola and Pepsi? Yikes! We are talking about miracles, God! But, we can pray. We can humbly seek your help. And we can begin to speak out!
Help me like it enough so that I refrain from excessive doing and committing. Help me do it – lest I be pruned!
Sigh. How easy it is to forget that Love is both the Beginning and the End of everything.
