Growing — a Responsibility

Good Evening, God I hadn’t ever thought of “growing” as a responsibility.  But, now it seems so obvious.  If we are growing plants we have to exercise responsibility — providing water and nutrients.  The Plant has to work too —

Comet over Stonehenge

Good Evening, God Ah, an image of a comet that only comes into view every 6,000 years or so, and Stonehenge which began to be created maybe 7,000 years ago. Apparently, the Salisbury Plain was considered to be a sacred

Historical Perspective on Pandemics

Good Day, God I’ve stumbled upon a fascinating site: The Visual Capitalist. This map of pandemics was eye opening! Let me start with the first one — the Bubonic plagues of 1347 -1351. Two hundred million people died. But, to

The need for new perspectives

Good Morning, God, It feels as if the last few months have brought one new perspective after another. And I have learned that understanding isn’t so much about facts as how those facts are organized and connected. Indeed, what I

A Change in Perspective

Good Evening, God! This photo taken tonight brought to mind René Magritte. “L’impire des lumières”.  Magritte loved transforming our perspective. And I am beginning to suspect You do too. Just this evening I had a reversal of how I have

Still More Perspectives

Another Perspective or two

Good Day, God! We went to island of Kauai last week for my wonderful husband Kit to run a half marathon. While we getting our rental car I saw an ad for the Allerton Gardens. WOW! The ad featured a

Perspective . . . perspectives

Good Morning, God! Here’s a photo of me in Tucson. I was walking with my wonderful daughter, Sandy. I’d stopped to gaze UP at a giant saguaro cactus. I think it is the biggest, tallest, most impressive saguaro I have ever seen.

Getting back into Sync

Good Day, God! Wow!  This midmorning I was definitely Out-of-Sync! Grumpy! Worried about so much stuff that I couldn’t keep it all straight. And this was during my Centering Prayer time, too. I know this is “to be expected” and
