Mommies and Babies — and Saying Goodbye

I have been taken by surprise at the grief flowing through me. It’s very primal, God. I guess grief always is. But because my husband Kit and I had been “assisting” mom daily the last few years, playing games and talking — part of me sees her as my baby. So it’s a sort of double whammy.

Major Changes to Our Food Supply

So, even though I understand we don’t exactly have proof about the weed killers and the bee killers, it does strike me that we humans have embarked on MAJOR changes to our Food Supply with more Hubris than Caution.

Actually, speaking of soap, one sign in the Village said that soap was just coming into use in the 1830s. Before that water and a good scrub was what they used. Yikes! No soap, no deodorant, no electricity . . . no iPhones!

how easy it is to fall into wishing — wishing for things we don’t have — or wishing for what we do have to be just a wee bit better. Oh my! That kind of wishing slips in and takes over . . . leaving me discontented and disagreeable. Yikes!
