The busy little pigeon — and me

Ah, Mornings!  This is a photo from yesterday morning when I was breakfasting and talking and then PRAYING with a dear friend. You know, God, we are ALL in need of prayer.  But, every once in a while we KNOW

A Day at Home

Good Morning, God, This is the Day After the Sabbath — my second Sabbath — and I am eager to WORK.  Thankful to stay home and plan.  PLAN.  Not just DO but plan.  Ponder what it is that I want

Aurf! Dog training and Me

All creatures, great and small — You made them all.  Other living creatures are a mystery to us, God.  Well, actually other humans are a mystery — and come to think of it, I am pretty much a mystery to

Raining, reigning and restructuring

Ah, God, You send the clouds as well as the sun.  Clouds that bring rain — or maybe just a cooling passing shadow.  Rain water is truly a gift.  And You make it to fall on the Just and the

On not working

What do you know! Taking a day and setting aside all work — even most of the daily duties — opened up a time of sharing. Actually more than sharing, it made possible being together in a time of deep listening. And, I am surprised that I am surprised. How many gifts we pass by on our busy way.

Kit’s running a marathon, God

Kit is running another marathon and I am feeling stressed. Stress means I need better self care. And it means I need to ask for help. I need to GET OVER the feeling of shame and inadequacy involved in needing and asking for help. Probably get over it by repeatedly asking. Not waiting until I feel ok about it.
